The VSF 116610LV “Hulk” (Oyster): Our Release Standard

The 11-series 116610LV “Hulk” is arguably the most heavily scrutinized modern Rolex in the collector community. The complexity lies entirely in the color: lower-tier factories routinely fail by producing flat, lifeless green dials, yellowish ceramic inserts, or milky date magnifiers. Our role is to take the VSF baseline further: every 116610LV is individually screened for the correct dynamic green sunburst dial execution (shifting from emerald to near-black), accurate green ceramic hue, True Platinum PVD bezel infill, Dual-AR Black Hole clarity, precise DW centering, tight SEL fitment on the 20mm fully brushed Oyster bracelet, Witschi-regulated DD3135 timing performance, and verified factory batch-tested water resistance before it is released.

The specifications below describe the watch we ship—not the average watch that leaves the factory. Every watch must pass the stated visual, mechanical, and timing criteria before it is submitted for customer QC.

• Dynamic Green Sunburst Dial: The true magic of the “Hulk” is its highly reactive dial. We reject units that look too flat or carry a cheap yellowish/lime tint. The released units exhibit a deep, mesmerizing sunray effect that flashes vibrant emerald under direct sunlight and drops to a rich, dark forest green (almost black) in low-light conditions—exactly mirroring the genuine optical behavior.
• Accurate Green Ceramic Insert: VSF has mastered the specific green ceramic formula. We screen the bezel insert to ensure it avoids the “milky green” or “neon” flaws seen on inferior batches.
• True Platinum PVD Infill: The green ceramic bezel is infused with True Platinum PVD numerals, offering a bright, silvery-white contrast that resists environmental darkening.

2. Crystal Optics & Date Execution

• Dual-AR Cyclops (Black Hole Effect): A major tell on cheap replicas is a highly reflective, milky date magnifier. The released units are screened for high-quality Dual-AR coating on the Cyclops. Under angled light, the date aperture drops into a deep black void—the correct “Black Hole” look collectors demand.
• DW Centering: The date wheel is aggressively QC’d. We check multiple single- and double-digit dates to ensure they sit centered within the window, rejecting units with obvious vertical or lateral left-bias.

3. 40mm Maxi Case Hardware & Oyster Bracelet

• Strict Pre-Dispatch QC: Rather than performing redundant individual pressure tests, our in-house inspection is laser-focused on what matters most before shipping: verifying flawless exterior aesthetics (dial color dynamics, Black hole effect, DW centering, brushing, SELs), confirming movement health, and regulating the timekeeping on a Witschi machine to our internal bench target of −6/+6 seconds per day.
