Navigating the Eras: 116500LN vs. 126500LN
Before reviewing QC, it is essential to understand the architectural differences between the two modern generations and their respective movement options:

Current Batch Notes & Factory Reality
VSF is one of the principal current options for the Daytona. Its strongest areas vary by model and production batch. Here are the documented characteristics of the current batches we are processing:
- Movement Specs: Depending on the reference, models use DD4130 or DD4131 movements. Purist Note: Both calibers utilize traditional regulation structures. They should not be confused with true free-sprung balance architectures.
- Optical Clarity: VSF crystals are generally recognized for strong clarity and low visual distortion. For many buyers, the stock crystal provides sufficient clarity without an immediate aftermarket replacement. However, crystal appearance can vary by reference, and every unit is inspected for edge haze.
- Dial Execution: Batch colors fluctuate. Recent white "Panda" dials exhibit a specific color temperature that we document accurately under neutral lighting in your QC photos.
Our Pre-Dispatch Inspection & QC Policy
Before a watch is submitted to you for final QC approval, it must pass our internal functional and cosmetic inspection. We categorize our evaluation into three tiers:
Tier A: Functional Issues (Internal Reject)
Movements that fail to run, chronographs failing to start/stop/reset, severe rotor grinding, or stripped crowns. Action: We reject these internally. You never see them.
Tier B: Assembly & Cosmetic Issues (You Evaluate)
Misaligned rehauts, tilted markers, visible dust, or slight reset deviations. Action: Disclosed in high-res QC materials. You review the evidence and decide whether to GL (Accept) or RL (Reject).
Tier C: Factory Batch Characteristics (Inherent Limits)
Dial color temperature, sub-dial ring thickness, font shapes, or machining marks visible only under heavy magnification. Action: QC cannot eliminate characteristics shared by an entire factory batch.
What We Inspect & Provide
- A functional video showing the central chronograph hand and the elapsed-minute and elapsed-hour registers returning to their zero positions.
- Timegrapher data confirming acceptable rate, amplitude, and beat error.
- High-resolution images under neutral lighting to reveal dial alignment, SEL fitment, and overall cosmetic condition.
QC approval confirms that you have reviewed the disclosed appearance of the specific watch before dispatch. It does not replace any non-waivable consumer rights that may apply under the laws of the destination market. Minor characteristics visible only under heavy magnification are evaluated individually. Visible dust, damage, or material misalignment is not automatically classified as an acceptable microscopic tolerance. Waterproofing is not guaranteed without independent aftermarket pressure testing.
